Questions and Answers

What is Generali Employee Benefits (GEB) Network strategy and why this acquisition?

Generali Employee Benefits (GEB) Network's strategy focuses on customer centricity, innovation, and Quality of Service. This partnership aims to create the new global leader in the employee benefit market and establish a true Network of Choice for all stakeholders. By combining the strengths of both networks and their complementary profiles, synergies across product offering (protection, medical and pension, multinational pooling, reinsurance to captive) will be enabled, while expanding our geographical footprint, and enhancing our commercial and technical capabilities.

What is the new name of the Network, and when does it become official?

The new network will initially operate under the existing brands during a transition period. Full integration is expected by the end of May, and we look forward to sharing exciting updates during our conference in Venice.

Who is leading the new organization?

Ludovic Bayard, CEO of the Generali Employee Benefits (GEB) Network, has been appointed CEO of the new network. Frederik Van Den Eede, Chief Commercial Officer at Generali Employee Benefits (GEB) Network, and Michael Hansen, Chief Executive Officer of Swiss Life Network, will jointly lead the commercial area, to ensure a seamless transition and continued service excellence for all clients and partners. The leadership team brings together executives from both organizations, ensuring continuity and a balanced strategic vision. Additionally, Generali Employee Benefits (GEB) Network will welcome the experienced Swiss Life Network employees in their teams once the transaction is closed.

Will my current Pooling or Captive arrangement be affected?

This strategic partnership will not impact the solutions currently in force. All existing agreement(s) will continue to operate seamlessly. Over time, your company will benefit from access to a broader network of local insurers, expanding your choice of both local and global solutions.

How will this affect my annual renewal process?

The existing renewal process remains unchanged for the upcoming cycle. You will continue to work with your current network representatives as usual.

How does this affect ongoing RFPs?

The new network will honor all submitted proposals. In case of an active RFP involving both networks, your usual representatives will contact you to coordinate a unified response that leverages the strengths of both Generali Employee Benefits (GEB) Network and Swiss Life Network.

As Network Partner of Generali Employee Benefits (GEB) Network/Swiss Life Network, do I need to re-sign my agreement?

Your current agreement with the Network remains valid and in force. In the upcoming months, we may contact you to review any administrative updates and/or evaluate new business opportunities.

Do you plan to use more than one network partner in the same country? And will you close partnerships over time?

The new Network will welcome all existing partners of Swiss Life Network. We are experienced in working with multiple partners in the same country, and will continue to do so with the required professionalism you have come to expect. Changing Network Partners may happen over time as part of the normal course of business, reflecting market evolution and client needs. Neither Swiss Life Network and Generali Employee Benefits (GEB) Network plan on cancelling any of its current Partner Agreements.

Will both partners be used for the same product (captive vs pooling)?

A key strategic advantage is that existing Swiss Life Network partners will gain access to reinsurance, enabling the cession to captives and in select cases pooling through reinsurance. At the same time, Generali Employee Benefits (GEB) Network partners will gain access to a pooling model without reinsurance. The exact setup will vary by country and will be tailored to the specific characteristics of each market, always with the best interests of all stakeholders in mind.

Will you merge the two products landscapes? Can I transfer existing business from Swiss Life Network products to Generali Employee Benefits (GEB) Network products (or vice versa)?

At present, there are no plans to merge the product landscapes. Over time, however, product harmonization may become the preferred approach.

How will data be handled? Will there be data sharing between the partners?

Data security and privacy is our outmost priority. At no time, data will be exchanged between partners.  Data from a given partner will be considered and treated as strictly confidential and under no circumstances, shared with other Partners. Each partner continues to manage and process its own data independently.

How will reporting and dashboards work? Will the same tool and reporting format remain the same?

Your existing reporting and dashboards will continue to operate seamlessly, with no changes expected in the near future. In the long term, the combined expertise will be leveraged to harmonise the offering and further innovate reporting and dashboards with the aim of enhancing stakeholders' experience.

If I am a client of both partners, how will account management work?

The new commercial team, regrouping skilled employees from both networks, will continue to service clients and partners to ensure seamless coordination and continued service excellence.

Who is my main contact person? Will it change in the future?

Your existing contact person will continue to assist you, thereby providing you with continuity and service excellence.
We look forward to discussing this strategic partnership together and unlock additional opportunities for our common growth.
